Mt. Toubkal Trek + White Water Rafting Itinerary

Day 1: ARRIVE IN MARRAKECH AND EXPLORE THE SOUKS
ARRIVE IN MARRAKECH AND EXPLORE THE SOUKS Depart UK and arrive in Marrakech, Morocco. You will be transferred by car to your Riad, and then spend the evening shopping and exploring Marrakech.

Day 2: TOUR OF MOROCCO AND OPTIONAL HOT AIR BALLOON RIDE
TOUR OF MOROCCO AND OPTIONAL HOT AIR BALLOON RIDE Today we will enjoy a guided tour of the Red City, Marrakech. Walk through the colourful souks in search of souvenirs, visit Jemaa el-Fnaa square, the Bahia Palace, and Koutoubia Mosque. Alternatively, you can choose to enjoy an add-on experience by taking a hot air balloon ride from nearby. This is a unique way to see the Moroccan countryside in all its beauty.

Day 3: TRANSFER TO IMI OUGHLAD, TREK TO TIZI OUSSEM
TRANSFER TO IMI OUGHLAD, TREK TO TIZI OUSSEM You will be transferred from Marrakech to Imi Oughlad (1350m). You will then trek to Tizi n’Tacht Pass (2100m) and Tizi Oussem (1800m) where you will sleep overnight at a Berber house.

Day 4: TREK FROM TIZI OUSSEM TO IMLIL
TREK FROM TIZI OUSSEM TO IMLIL In the morning you will trek from Tizi Oussem (1800m) to Tizi Mzik Pass (2489m) and then Imlil (1740m) where you will sleep overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 5: TREK FROM IMLIL TO REFUGE TOUBKAL
TREK FROM IMLIL TO REFUGE TOUBKAL Today you will trek from Imlil (1740m) to Refuge Toubkal (3206m). The route will climb up a river gorge, passing waterfalls, Berber settlements, and mountainside shops.

Day 6: SUMMIT MOUNT TOUBKAL
SUMMIT MOUNT TOUBKAL Trek from Refuge (3206m) to the summit of Mount Toubkal (4167m). This incredible mountain climb affords stunning views over the High Atlas mountains, Anti-Atlas, and even the Sahara desert in the distance. Once we have reached the summit, we then descend back via the Refuge to Imlil.

Day 7: TRANSFER BACK TO MARRAKECH
TRANSFER BACK TO MARRAKECH After breakfast, we will be picked up from the guest house and driven back to the Riad in Marrakech. Enjoy one last evening in Morocco, eating delicious tagine and drinking a tasty Moroccan mint tea.

Day 8: FREE DAY
FREE DAY This is a free day which you may spend however you please. You could explore the local area or even take a day off and put your feet up.

Day 9: DRIVE TO THE ATLAS MOUNTAINS, VISIT CASCADES D’OUZOUD
DRIVE TO THE ATLAS MOUNTAINS, VISIT CASCADES D’OUZOUD After breakfast, we pack up and take a scenic drive to the High Atlas mountains. On the way, we stop at Morocco’s most famous waterfalls, the Cascades d’Ouzoud with monkeys jumping on our table whilst we have lunch. After 6 hours we finally reach our guesthouse with a welcoming tea before a tasty tagine.

Day 10: RAFT THROUGH GORGES AND SLEEP UNDER THE STARS
RAFT THROUGH GORGES AND SLEEP UNDER THE STARS Today is rafting day! We start by the Cathedral Rock. After safety instructions we practice and float down class 3 rapids all day. The route is dotted with rapids crossing an Aleppo pine forest landscape. In a magnificent setting of beautiful river gorges, the Ahansal River allows you an easy, enjoyable rafting trip. To help you get the most out of your trip, guides are available to give instructions and guidance on navigation. After the biggest rapid (class 4) we reach our river campsite where our local team welcomes us with a fresh mint tea. While we are sitting by the fire enjoying the magical surroundings, our cooks are preparing a nice meal for the evening. You will sleep under stars like you’ve never seen before.

Day 11: RAFT THROUGH MOROCCO’S GRAND CANYON
RAFT THROUGH MOROCCO’S GRAND CANYON Nothing’s better than waking up with fresh air and morning sunlight by the river. Today we’ll paddle a couple of exciting rapids (class 3/4) and float for 3 hours through Morocco’s “Grand Canyon” carving this magnificent red gorge with magical turquoise water (class 2). We will have lunch on a fishing boat while crossing the spectacular lake El Bin Ouidane. After packing up we drive back to Marrakech.

Day 12: EXPLORING MARRAKECH
EXPLORING MARRAKECH This is your well-earned free day to explore all that Marrakech has to offer. Maybe go and enjoy some relaxation in the spa or local hammam.

Day 13: RETURN FLIGHT TO UK
RETURN FLIGHT TO UK This marks the end of our Moroccan adventure.
