Trekking, diving and ethical elephant-ing in ‘The Land of Smiles’ Thailand

If you want to tick several tantalising adventures off your Bucket List in one go, you’ll certainly do it on your tour of Thailand with the Bucket List Company.

You’ll get to know some incredibly majestic elephants responsibly and ethically, you’ll explore Bangkok’s kaleidoscope of colours, sights and smells, AND you’ll trek through dense rainforest and bunk in with the friendliest of Thai tribespeople.

On this trip you’ll visit an absolute beauty of an island where you can dive in the most fantastically fishy, crystal-clear waters (or discover the art of “beach life” if you’d prefer).

You’ll visit jungles, mountains and stunning lakes and you’ll experience true Thai island life in seriously tropical surroundings.

What's Included
Itinerary

  • Day 1: Depart London

    Depart London

  • Day 2: Arrive Bangkok

    Arrive Bangkok On arrival in Bangkok you will be transferred to your hotel located close to the hustle and bustle of the Khao San Road - one of Bangkok's liveliest areas and the perfect place to kick-off your adventure.

  • Day 3: Bangkok City Tour

    Bangkok City Tour Following our group orientation we'll be transferred to the starting point of our guided tour of the city, only this tour will see us navigating the streets in control of an environmentally-friendly electric scooter and we'll enjoy a mouth-watering traditional street food lunch together.

  • Day 4: Flight to Chiang Mai

    Flight to Chiang Mai This morning we transfer back to the airport for our flight north to Chiang Mai where we then transfer to one of our supported elephant camps to meet the real stars of the show and spend a day, and a night, working with and caring for these incredible animals.

  • Day 5: Elephant Sanctuary

    Elephant Sanctuary Following breakfast we'll spend a few more hours helping out at the camp, before we say a sad "see you later" to the ele's and head back to Chiang Mai city and to our next hotel. After checking-in we'll head to the excellent night bazaar to check out the arts and crafts and to mingle with the locals

  • Day 6: Jungle Trek

    Jungle Trek Early morning today as we transfer to the start of our overnight jungle trek. the level of trek is medium and we'll hike up to 1,600M above sea level where we'll stay overnight in a genuine hill tribe and learn more about these mystical people and their lives

  • Day 7: Bamboo Rafting

    Bamboo Rafting This morning we trek for a couple more hours down to one of the many local rivers where we'll climb aboard some hand-built bamboo rafts for a Leisurely float back to our vehicle. We then transfer back to Chiang Mai city where you can rest up, clean up and fuel up, ready to adventure on tomorrow.

  • Day 8: Khao Sok

    Khao Sok From the jungles of the north this morning we fly south to the stunning national park of Khao Sok. home to breathtaking limestone mountains, babbling streams, stunning lakes and dense rainforest, Khao Sok is always a hit with visitors. Once were checked in, we'll take a gentle hike in to the jungles to check out the local night life!

  • Day 9: Phuket - Patong

    Phuket - Patong From Khao Sok, we transfer overland to Phuket - the largest of Thailand's 1,430 islands. Home to stunning beaches, epic nightlife, world-class restaurants and diverse cultures, Phuket is another "must-do". We'll arrive on the island in the early afternoon ready for you to check- in and refresh in the pool or at the beach, the choice is yours.

  • Day 10: Tour of Phuket

    Tour of Phuket Today we'll start the day with a guided tour of Phuket to experience the lifestyles, the culture and the islands itself. we'll head in to the Sino-Portuguese Old town, the incredible food and the several cultures that happily co-exist here. In the afternoon you have more free time to spend at your leisure, with a cool cocktail in hand!

  • Day 11: Koh Lanta

    Koh Lanta This morning we transfer to the pier to join the ferry crossing to the island of Koh Lanta, one of Thailand's leading diving and relaxation destinations. once we've arrived we'll transfer to our next hotel and have a quick group orientation about your next 3 days.

  • Day 12-13-14: Time too Chill, Dive or Whatever you like!

    Time too Chill, Dive or Whatever you like! These 3 days you have the option to sign up to a 3-day Open water qualification course or if you are qualified join a few fun dives within the Koh Lanta national park area. if diving's not your thing, Lanta island has many other activities to keep you busy. Just chat with your guide about the options, or spend your time doing nothing!

  • Day 15: Back to Bangkok

    Back to Bangkok Beach life is over today and following a free morning we transfer to the airport for our flight north and back to Bangkok and back to where it all began just 14-days ago! On arrival in Bangkok we transfer to our hotel for a final night that will most likely include a group meal with a few drinks to share stories and photos of what will have been an unforgettable journey.

  • Day 16: Time to Fly Home :-(

    Time to Fly Home :-( Your guide will be around all morning to assist with anything that you may need, and will transfer with you back to the airport in plenty of time for your check-in to your flight home.
