So whether you have trekking questions, want to know about Everest Base Camp altitude preparations or are simply looking for some travel advice, you can find it here!
When will my direct debit be taken out of my account?
Your direct debit will be taken out of your account on the 1st of every month, unless you have specified and we have agreed with you a different date. Your direct debit needs to be set up 6 days before the end of the month to make sure it comes out on the 1st, if not then it will roll over onto the following month. The direct debit is cost of the adventure split equally between the number of months left before you depart.
Flights and Protection
Air Travel Arrangements are supplied by Wexas International ATOL 2873 and their booking conditions apply.
To provide protection for all money our customers send us, we operate a ‘client trust account’, this money is ring fenced and in the unlikely event of the company failure this money is protected. The Bucket List Company does not have access to this money until after we have returned from your trip.
How many places are on each trip?
We aim to take 16 people maximum on each trip, however if we have a lot of interest in a certain adventure we may take 2 groups on the same adventure or put on an extra trip at another date in the year.
Can I bring my children on the adventure with me?
We don’t recommend altitude trekking for minors. The majority of our treks either involve water or altitude, so for safety reasons we wouldn’t say this is a good idea. Everyone needs to carry their own kit and equipment, therefore it is not practical to have to be supporting someone else as well as yourself on an expedition. We are happy to discuss individual cases in further detail – just give us a call!
Why are there two prices and what is the difference between the land only price and full package price?
We offer both a land only package and a full package. The land only package doesn’t include flights, this is suitable for people who want to meet us in country and/or stay longer after the adventure. The full package is flight inclusive and we meet you at the airport and stay with you until you return back to the UK.
What is not covered in the total cost of the adventure?
The only things that are not covered within the price is:
Personal Spending Money
If you have chosen the land only package then flights are also not included
What are your Terms & Conditions & Cancellation policy?
Can you recommend somewhere to get my travel insurance from?
We use specialist Insurance Brokers, Campbell Irvine Direct for all of our insurance policies no matter what trip we are on. We know their policy includes everything we require in an insurance policy for all of our trips. You can easily get a quote from their website so try not to leave sorting your insurance out until last minute!
You don’t have to use Campbell Irvine if you have another in mind, just please be aware to check restrictions. For example many insurance policies that you get with your bank account will not include altitude and are not geared up for exciting trips like we offer!
What is your complaints procedure?
If you would like to make a complaint, please email firstname.lastname@example.org in the first instance. You will receive a response from us within 48 hours. If your complaint is not answered to your satisfaction please email again and put it for the attention of the Managing Director.

The Ultimate Guide to Kilimanjaro
Is Kilimanjaro on your bucket list? We’ve put together a fully comprehensive guide to Kilimanjaro which will give you everything you need to know about this wonderful adventure that lies ahead.
Here’s what some of our awesome customers had to say:
“Ok, so if you aren’t Wonder Woman or the female version of Edmund Hillary (although we did have our very own Ironwoman – unfortunately not me!) but you fancy a bit of a challenge/adventure, then this is ideal!
This trip will challenge you mentally and physically, but because you make new amazing friends and have such a laugh – along with seeing the vibrancy of Morocco – you soon forget about how much you are struggling. The elation of achievement when you reach the top is phenomenal, and worth every foot step!
Other companies may offer the same trip, but I doubt they give the same level of expertise from the moment you pay your deposit! Everything has been thought of, from the advice about equipment to buy/rent, to the tips for working with our amazing guides and porters.
And then there’s our Bucket list Company rep, Gareth! Gareth, aka Billy Boy Wonder, was the best expedition leader you can ask for. He was always positive, encouraging, smiling and calm, even when there was a drama or something didn’t go according to plan. Oh, and ask him about his belly dancing skills!
I would highly recommend this company, and will be booking another trip! If you have any doubts, don’t! Just book it! You won’t regret it, and will finish the week with a permanent smile, some lovely new friends and priceless memories! Thank you to everyone on our trip. And at last I can say: “Got the t-shirt and wearing it!”
Mount Toubkal trek
“Just returned from the Mt. Toubkal trek – the first trip I have taken on my own. I had an absolutely amazing time, all made possible by The Bucket List Company.
Any queries I had were answered, and the team were fully supportive. Keith, Isaac and the local guides were brilliant. If you are thinking of taking on a challenge I fully recommend The Bucket List Company.”
Mount Toubkal trek
“I just nicely got back from Peru with The Bucket List Company. It was an absolutely incredible trip – I booked it and went on my own, met some lovely people and had the experience of a lifetime.
I also had the opportunity to go on trips outside of the main trek, which just added to the whole experience. I would highly recommend The Bucket List Company to anyone, and can’t wait to book my next trip!”
Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu
“Just returned from Morroco, where we hit the dizzy heights of Mt. Toubkal. This being my first solo trip, I was pretty nervous, but it was an amazing experience from start to finish with a great group of people. Everything was organised so well – it felt like we moved seamlessly from one environment to the next. I can’t recommend these guys enough, and I know I will certainly be taking more trips with them in the future.”
Mount Toubkal trek
“I joined Keith and his team for an ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro. Everything was incredibly well organised, from the pre-trip training and briefings to the travel arrangements and accommodation – not forgetting the trek itself.
The professionalism and experience of Keith and his team gave me complete confidence in them, which in turn meant that I could simply relax and enjoy the trip. I would thoroughly recommend the team at The Bucket List Company, and look forward to joining them again one day.”
“Kilimanjaro has always been high up on my bucket list, and when I saw that The Bucket List Company were running another trip, I knew it was time to get myself booked on.
Keith and his team were always at the end of the phone to answer questions and Keith’s Guide to Kilimanjaro just answered all of my queries. I attended the pre-expedition training weekend, which enabled me to meet the other people I would be travelling with. It also gave me chance to meet Keith and the Bucket List team and put faces to names. The training weekends are certainly a must.
On the expedition, Keith was very aware of his whole group’s needs and made sure everyone was coping well. The team’s in-country guides and porters were also amazing. They cooked for and looked after us amazingly. Summiting Kilimanjaro was a dream of mine and the Bucket List Company made that a reality. I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to book another trip with The Bucket List Company, and would urge anyone considering a trip to just book and start training!”
