How many places are on each trip?
We aim to take a maximum 16 people maximum on each trip, however if we have a lot of interest in a certain adventure we may take 2 groups on the same adventure or put on an extra trip at another date in the year.
Most of our trips have between 8-12 on each trip.
Can I bring my children on the adventure with me?
We don’t recommend our mountaineering and trekking trips for most families but in response to the growing interest in adventure travel for families of all ages we are launching new Family Trailblazer trips. These trips will be released in 2021 so to get ahead of the crowds register your interest HERE.
Are my flights included in the online price?
Your flights are not included in the ‘Trip Base Costs’. We offer both a land only package and fully inclusive packages, as well as many additional excursions. Once you have selected your trip dates you will be able to add flights, single supplements or any other excursions you wish to include in the ‘Trip Builder’.
What is not covered in the total cost of the adventure?
The only things that are not covered within the price is:
Personal Spending Money
If you have chosen the land only package then flights are also not included
What are your Terms & Conditions & Cancellation policy?
Can you recommend somewhere to get my travel insurance from?
We use specialist Insurance Brokers, Campbell Irvine Direct for all of our insurance policies no matter what trip we are on. We know their policy includes everything we require in an insurance policy for all of our trips. You can easily get a quote from their website so try not to leave sorting your insurance out until last minute!
You don’t have to use Campbell Irvineif you have another in mind, just please be aware to check restrictions. For example many insurance policies that you get with your bank account will not include altitude and are not geared up for exciting trips like we offer!
What is your complaints procedure?
If you would like to make a complaint, please email [email protected] in the first instance. You will receive a response from us within 48 hours. If your complaint is not answered to your satisfaction please email again and put it for the attention of the Managing Director.

Can you cater to my dietary requirement?
One of the first pieces of information we will ask you to provide us when you fill in your booking form is a dietary requirements disclosure. We will do our utmost to ensure that any dietary requirement is catered to during your trip, contacting airlines, agents and accommodation to request they adjust their menus for your needs.
It is important to let us know of your dietary requirements as soon as possible after booking, so that we have adequate time to make these arrangements.
This said, we would encourage Bucketlisters to bear in mind that we cannot fully control the provisions that will be available on flights and during your trek. Occasionally, despite communicating particular needs to our flight agents, on-board teams will forget to ensure certain meals are available. Also be aware that in some countries, less common diets are almost unheard of – such as gluten-free in Morocco. Usually, there will be something you can find, but it may be limited. Therefore, if you have particularly specific dietary needs (such as vegan and gluten-free) we recommend you bring snacks as a back-up.
Any client with a severe allergy must carry their necessary medicine with them at all times.
Traffic Light Travel... where will we be going?
Here at The Bucket List Company we have made the decision to only travel to countries that do not require quarantine on arrival or return. So that we can give our customers as much notice as possible we have developed a plan of action for any trip destinations which may be listed as Red, including a timeline of the latest possible cancellations for these trips which can be viewed HERE.
The Ultimate Guide to Kilimanjaro
Is Kilimanjaro on your bucket list? We’ve put together a fully comprehensive guide to Kilimanjaro which will give you everything you need to know about this wonderful adventure that lies ahead.
Here’s what some of our awesome customers had to say:
“I’ve been on two trips now with the bucket List Company, first to Peru and second to Nepal, both magical experiences.
If you’re looking for an adventure holiday I can’t recommend The Bucket List Company enough, they’ll ensure you have everything you need and are prepared before you go on any of their trips, as Keith and his crew have a wealth of knowledge and experience in making sure their customers have an enjoyable and unforgettable experience.
I’m looking forward to more trips with them in the future!”
Everest Base Camp
“One of the best things I’ve ever done! An incredible trip with an amazing group of leaders and guides as well as great people. I can’t recommend this trip enough. The Bucket List Company made this holiday stress-free, easy and enjoyable. I loved every second of it!”
“I still can’t quite find the right word to describe my experience with The Bucket List Company. Had the most incredible time, met some amazing people, and experienced things I never thought I would. I’d recommend both Peru, Machu Picchu and The Bucket List Company to anyone – you honestly will not be disappointed. Thank you so much for a life changing 10 days.”
Lares Trek to Machu Picchu
“A very easy company to work with – super open, knowledgeable and deep expertise.
Having just come off the Sahara trek, I was impressed with the logistics and just how much fun this was as a single traveler.
If you want to do something cool, irrespective of your own experience, then this is the team to do it with – highly adaptive to individuals with a very pragmatic approach.”
“2013 was the year I decided that I wanted to climb Kilimanjaro. It was going to be the trip of a lifetime, and I wanted to make sure I chose the right company to help me achieve my goal.
I’d had several recommendations from friends, so I contacted Keith and his team. From that moment to my first step on the summit, I could not have asked for a better company to have made my dream come true. Keith and his team provided the highest attention to detail, and there was always someone to pick up the phone during the run up to the trip to answer any questions I had – no matter how silly!
During the expedition, Keith was with us every step of the way, offering encouragement and support through some of the toughest hours of my life! I could not recommend The Bucket List Company enough on my return. Unfortunately, this did not work out so well for me, because in 2015 my sister decided she wanted to undertake the same challenge… with me!
So in September 2015 I summited Africa’s highest peak for the second time – a proud moment. Again, we were supported by The Bucket List Company.
My sister and I are planning more adventures over the next few years, and the flexible payment options that The Bucket List Company offer mean we can turn those dreams into some more fantastic memories to add to our collection. I would never consider another company to organise my expeditions now, and I would happily put my life in their hands. I cannot thank them enough for opening up a world of possibility.”
