DAY 1: RIO DE JANEIRO
RIO DE JANEIRO Meet and greet at the airport with your local, personal guide, and transfer to your hotel. If you have booked transfers with us please make sure you let us know what time your flight will be arriving.

DAY 2: FULL DAY CORCOVADO & SUGAR LOAF WITH LUNCH
FULL DAY CORCOVADO & SUGAR LOAF WITH LUNCH Take a cog railway from Cosme Velho to the peak of Corcovado, where you can see the world-famous statue of Christ the Redeemer. Enjoy the breathtaking views then. explore Tijuca Forest, before heading to the Maracanã Stadium and Sambódromo. Have a delicious lunch at a typical Brazilian restaurant before visiting the Metropolitan Cathedral and Aterro do Flamengo Park. Take a cable car to climb the Morro da Urca and Sugarloaf, where you can enjoy panoramic views and spectacular sunsets. Our evening outing, the 'Happy Hour Boteco Crawl' (from 18:00-22:00), visits some of Rio's most popular 'botecos' - typical Brazilian pubs. Far from the typical "tourist traps", partakers enjoy an evening full of traditional delicacies and innovative appetisers, served with locally brewed craft beers and delicious caipirinhas. Several complementary tongue teasers and beverages are offered along the way.

DAY 3: TRANSFER TO PARATY
TRANSFER TO PARATY Today we transfer to Paraty.

DAY 4: HALF DAY SCHOONER TOUR (WITH LUNCH)
HALF DAY SCHOONER TOUR (WITH LUNCH) ​Leaving the port of Paraty in the morning, the schooner sails to an archipelago of densely forested islands, crystalline seas, and secluded white, sandy beaches. On arrival in this paradise, you'll make three one-hour stops so you can sunbathe, swim, and snorkel in the emerald bays. Each trip is unique as the destinations vary depending on wind direction and sea conditions, but destinations usually include the islands of Comprida, Algodão, Cotia, and Praia Vermelha. Duration: 5 hours

DAY 5: ILHA GRANDE
ILHA GRANDE ​You'll meet your local driver in Paraty, before the transfer (approximately 2 hours, in an air-conditioned vehicle) to Angra dos Reis. This is followed by a 30-minute boat trip to the beautiful tropical island of Ilha Grande.

DAY 6: FULL DAY LOPES MENDES
FULL DAY LOPES MENDES ​We visit one of Brazil's top ten beaches today; Lopes Mendes, an idyllic three-kilometre stretch of powdery white sand. It's an amazing place, offering something for everyone: surfers revel in its awesome breakers, while families enjoy swimming in its crystal-clear water and picnicking in the shade of the lush vegetation. The excursion includes a boat ride to Pouso Beach (a 30-minute walk from Lopes Mendes Beach) and back.Â

DAY 7: SALVADOR
SALVADOR Today we transfer to Salvador. You will be met at the airport by our local guide from where you will be transferred to your hotel.

DAY 8: TRANSFER TO LENÇÓIS
TRANSFER TO LENÇÓIS You'll meet your local, Portuguese-speaking driver in Salvador, before your transfer to Lençóis, in an air-conditioned vehicle. The transfer takes approximately 5 and a half hours.

DAY 9: FULL DAY WALKING TOUR RIO SERRANO AND RIBEIRÃO DO MEIO
FULL DAY WALKING TOUR RIO SERRANO AND RIBEIRÃO DO MEIO Following a morning pick-up from the hotel we'll set off to walk along the Serrano River, where you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the natural rock pools. Continue to the so-called Areias Coloridas (Coloured Sands), a patch of rocks which reveals an astonishing diversity of colours in a tiny area of sandstone. After another swim at the Cachoeirinha, you continue to the Primavera waterfall, which flows into the Lençóis River beside the highest point of the mountain, the rock of Pedra do Mirante. Here you will be rewarded with a stunning panorama of the town of Lençóis. After lunch (not included), you head to Ribeirão do Meio. After a short hike (3 kilometres), you can take a bath in the rock pools before setting off back to Lençóis.

FREE DAY IN LENÇÓIS You have today to enjoy at leisure in Lençóis, exploring its cobblestone streets.

DAY 11: GUIDED WALKING TOUR OF PELOURINHO (SALVADOR)
GUIDED WALKING TOUR OF PELOURINHO (SALVADOR) Following the transfer back to Salvador there will be a walking tour around Pelourinho - the old historic centre of Salvador. Declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1985, it is an eminent example of colonial history and a symbol of the black movement in Bahia. Pelourinho's main tourist attractions include the famous writer Jorge Amado's House, the cultural group Olodum, São Francisco Church and the Cathedral BasÃlica as well as the traditional Cravinho Bar (where you might want to go for an optional caipirinha - not included). Stop to shop; you may choose to visit the Pierre Verger gallery or the studio of Goya Lopes. We'll also visit Elevador Lacerda, built in 1873 and an important means of transport between the Upper and Lower Cities. From there you can relax and enjoy the panoramic view of All Saints Bay and Mercado Modelo. Duration: 3 hours
