I love that everything is taken care of so all you have to do is turn up with a packed bag and enjoy the whole experience…and I definitely did that! A brilliant trip with old and new friends doing what I love most – adventure trekking. All the team were such good company and good crack from start to finish. Jake is the best UK guide for TBLC. He makes every trip fun and it feels like you are going on holiday with an old friend (albeit one who knows his stuff when it comes to first aid, mountain safety and customer care). All of TBLC in country guides are knowledgeable and approachable and I have come away with some good friends from my trips over the years. Toubkal shouldn’t be underestimated, you do need to have a basic level of fitness but TBLC will do all they can to support you on summit night. I’m looking forward to my next trip 🙂 – Amy Oct 2023

I climbed Kilimanjaro with a group of people I met at the airport and have made friends for life.

As well as being unbelievably organised, friendly and great fun, Kris, our group leader, is an expert in adventure travel holidays and her knowledge and expertise were freely shared with us all.
Whitey and his team, the in-country guide team, were excellent and looked after us expertly every day and ensured that we all made it to top!

Having wanted to solo travel since a young child I wanted my first experience to be a great experience and booking with The Bucket List Company made that trip just that. From the beginning to end everything was planned to detail, we had very knowledgeable, happy, friendly and approachable guides Hassan and Yusef who dealt with any queries, requests to see things off itinery we had both professionally and happily, literally nothing was a problem. Gareth Chalker our representative from The bucket list again was so approachable helped with any issues or queries quickly and professionally (and also gave me a lot of support and encouragement on the Todra Gorge hike even when I wanted to give up he still patiently encouraged me) and without his and the others support I would have missed the most humbling part of the hike when we were invited to have tea with a Nomad family, something that will stay with me. We covered so much ground in the 13 days we travelled, we had lunch in people’s homes, bbq in a village cafe (one of the best meals) fed monkeys, rode camels through the sahara desert, pretty much every wish I had for my first trip was ticked off my list. Would I use this company again 100%, Iam registered as a disabled person but not once was I made to feel that way, when I struggled the pace was slowed down, we had regular breaks during travel often at the most beautiful scenic areas to stretch ours legs and take photos, I could go on and on about how brilliant this trip was and how everything was planned and organised how all you have to do is turn up and participate but to appreciate it you have to try it. Massive thanks to Gareth and Henry (and Bailey who answered all my queries pre trip quickly and efficiently) for making my first experience truly memorable and not put me off doing it again hopefully with yourselves. – Lyndsey May 22

Kilimanjaro had been on my bucket list for a number of years but COVID really accelerated my focus to getting it done. I researched a number of companies but settled with The Bucket List Company (TBLC) due to the detailed information provided, including podcasts and videos and the provision of a UK guide on the trip (to assist with any issues that may arise) and a fantastic Tanzanian Team. My decision couldn’t have been better. Once booked I was given access to the Vamoos app which provided so much trip information, including day by day summary, flight information, packing lists, videos, reading suggestions and so much more. Excellent. Any other queries (few and far between) were answered quickly and effectively by the ever friendly and helpful office staff. The trip itself was just incredible. So well organised, everything worked like a well oiled machine. Safety is a priority of TBLC. Importantly the trip included an extra acclimatisation day. This really increased the chances of a successful summit by reducing the effects of altitude. Sats and health were checked daily and monitored closely. The fabulous Tanzanian guides, porters and cooks placed safety at the centre of everything; ensuring everyone walked slowly whilst gaining altitude and taking regular sips of water. (Very important) and eating excellent meals with plenty of carbohydrates for energy. However, they also made sure that not only was this a challenging trip but that it was also great fun, with lots of laughs, songs and dancing. Work hard, play hard. The last ascent to the summit was slow and cold. Warm socks and gloves/mittens are essential, but wow! What an achievement to reach Gilmans Point for sunrise! That really is special. I really can’t recommend TBLC highly enough. This trip was everything I’d hoped for and more, spent with such an eclectic, lovely group of like minded people. If you’re after a once in a lifetime trip that is safe, fun and leaves you with a happy glow of memories, I wouldn’t look anywhere else than The Bucket List Company. I recently went on the Surf & Yoga retreat and it was everything I wanted and needed! With a great mixture of adventure, excitement and relaxation, it was the perfect trip. Keith was a brilliant leader, with plenty of information about the local areas. All activities were well planned and so much fun! I wouldn’t think twice about booking this again, if it wasn’t for all the other adventures they have available to chose from! I will definitely be using The Bucket List Company again that’s for sure! – Paul March 23
