Here at The Bucket List Company, we are happiest when our customers are happy. Your holiday should run smoothly, be safe, and above all you should come back keen to book another adventure with us. We aren’t fond of rules (let’s be honest, who is?) but we do think that it’s worth setting expectations in advance so that everyone knows what to expect.
Travelling in a group means that everyone’s needs have to be catered for. Your pack leader will have lots of people to keep happy. Be mindful that everyone will want to do different things and go with the flow.
You can use it how you want. Your leaders will have admin to do during this time so (other than organised trips) be mindful that they won’t be available during the free time to entertain you. They will be happy to suggest some activities for you to do though, so be sure to ask them for their recommendations, and check on the app for some of their favourite restaurants, bars etc.
Sometimes (especially in some of the countries we visit) things go wrong. Flights can be delayed, the weather can affect outside activities, baggage can be lost, and itineraries can need to be changed. Learn to embrace the things that go wrong. It always works out in the end. Trust your leader. They have done this many many many times before!
Our trips are often booked by people travelling alone who choose to share a room to keep costs lower. If you want your own room, you can request a single room on any of our tours which will attract a single supplement. If you don’t choose this option, you will be paired with someone of the same gender. We do our best to match people with someone a similar age. If you want your own room, be sure to let us know when booking.
Sometimes on a group trip you might fancy your own time out to do your own thing. Just let your group leader know if you won’t be joining in one of the activities or if you will be doing your own thing one day.
Here’s what some of our awesome customers had to say:
“Kilimanjaro – the highest mountain in Africa! The whole experience from start to finish was first class. Amazing people – organising the flights, hotels and food! Would highly recommend to anyone, and I have now booked Everest Base Camp for October 2019.”
“Faultless Everest Base Camp trek in March 2019. When you book a trip on your bucketlist its a once in a lifetime experience and you want to have the best experience ever.
With the Bucketlist Co. you come to realise that the careful planning and thought that goes into their trips ensures you get the experience you want. The whole trip ran without hiccups and everyone from guides to fellow travellers helped make this the trip it was.
Would not hesitate to recommend this company or book another trip with them in the future.”
“Just back from a weeks diving in Gozo, the whole experience was amazing, a lovely bunch of people on the trip, strangers at the start but great friends within days. The diving instructors were very professional, friendly, patient, supportive and good fun.
Every aspect of the trip appeared to run like clockwork thanks to Keith and the staff at The Bucket List Company, if there were any problems, I was not aware of them. Just need to sort my bucket list and then book with them again. Nice surprise when I got home. Thank you The Bucket List Company.”
“Had a fantastic time on the Sahara trek. It was well organised and the guides were always there for advice and information. Both me and my husband have booked for Mt. Toubkal next year with fellow team members from the Sahara trek.”
“I’ve just got back from the most amazing trip to Mt. Toubkal, Morocco. The trip was very well planned, the places we stayed were really nice, the food was great – as were the people on our trip – and of course our guide Gareth was absolutely brilliant. I am already looking to book my next trip. A great company – I would highly recommend. Thank you.”
“You’ve booked your trip, and the excitement begins. You’ve packed your kit and checked your timings. Your adventure starts here… you explore the towns. With snakes? Never fear, you’re in good hands.
The trek can be tough, but it’s what you signed up for. You can’t get enough, though – there’s so much to explore, from the scorching hot sun, to the freezing deep snow. In the high atlas mountains, it’s all go, go go!
So away we all flew, but what was ahead? #WhatWouldKeithDo? “Just book another”, he said! At the end of it all, don’t be sad it’s all over – you have new friends to call, and it will soon be time for another adventure!
Thanks for looking after us on our amazing trip. We have some fantastic memories and loved every bit!”
