Here at The Bucket List Company, we are happiest when our customers are happy. Your holiday should run smoothly, be safe, and above all you should come back keen to book another adventure with us. We aren’t fond of rules (let’s be honest, who is?) but we do think that it’s worth setting expectations in advance so that everyone knows what to expect.

Quality and value
1

Be a Team Player

Travelling in a group means that everyone’s needs have to be catered for. Your pack leader will have lots of people to keep happy. Be mindful that everyone will want to do different things and go with the flow.

Expertise
2

Free Time is Free Time

You can use it how you want. Your leaders will have admin to do during this time so (other than organised trips) be mindful that they won’t be available during the free time to entertain you. They will be happy to suggest some activities for you to do though, so be sure to ask them for their recommendations, and check on the app for some of their favourite restaurants, bars etc.

Expert support team
3

Embrace the Quirks

Sometimes (especially in some of the countries we visit) things go wrong. Flights can be delayed, the weather can affect outside activities, baggage can be lost, and itineraries can need to be changed. Learn to embrace the things that go wrong. It always works out in the end. Trust your leader. They have done this many many many times before!

Travel with like minded people
4

Like your Own Space?

Our trips are often booked by people travelling alone who choose to share a room to keep costs lower. If you want your own room, you can request a single room on any of our tours which will attract a single supplement. If you don’t choose this option, you will be paired with someone of the same gender. We do our best to match people with someone a similar age. If you want your own room, be sure to let us know when booking.

Sometimes on a group trip you might fancy your own time out to do your own thing. Just let your group leader know if you won’t be joining in one of the activities or if you will be doing your own thing one day.

Be Respectful of your Roommate

Our adventures aren’t best served on a hang-over! Be mindful that we may have early starts or physically tiring activities. If you can do that while you stay up drinking until 3am, then go nuts. Just be respectful to your roommate who might not be as keen as you to stay out all night. If you know you are a snorer, consider booking a single room or bring some earplugs as a gift for your roomie!
Let us do what we are good at
6

Bring your Watch!

No one likes the person that is always late. Don’t let that person be you. If your leader tells you to meet at 7.30am, don’t be the person that shows up at 7.35am. Its disrespectful to everyone in the group.
Flexibility
7

Immerse yourself in your New World

Be brave! You may have a chance to eat food that you have never tried before. Go for it! You might have an opportunity to take on a physical challenge (hiking, kayaking, rafting etc) that you’ve never done before. Just try it! At ‘The Bucket List Company’, we will try to take you off the beaten track and visit places that aren’t the obvious stereotypical tourist attractions. You will have an expert local guide as well as your UK guides. Trust them – they will provide you with an awesome trip.

What our Customers Say

Here’s what some of our awesome customers had to say:

WOW what an amazing trip of a lifetime. I can’t recommend The Bucket List Company enough, I took home from this trip so much more than I ever thought I would and all my expectations were exceeded.

Keith, Whitey and all the guides and porters worked so hard to ensure the group had an amazing time and managed to reach the summit. Can’t wait to book my next trip with them.

“I have just recently been to the Great Wall of China with The Bucket List Company. What a fantastic experience I had! 10 days of action-packed adventure; wild and restored sections of the wall, lots of walking and exploring, amazing Chinese food, and exploring the sights of Beijing including Tiananmen Square, Summer Place, the Forbidden City and Pearl Market.

Along with crazy culinary delights such as snake and scorpions, the highlight of my holiday was the Gubeikou and Jinshanling sections of the wall.  Our Bucket List Guides, along with Charles in Beijing, were a great support to the group, as well as being fun people to spend time with. Thank you to The Bucket List Company for a great holiday and experience.”

“Having recently returned from visiting Machu Picchu with The Bucket List Company, I cannot recommend them highly enough! What a life-changing experience! The trip was exceptionally organised and Keith is the best expedition leader out there.

Even when I was struggling with the altitude, my health was closely monitored by the group and I was really well looked after. This will definitely not be my last Bucket List trip. Thank you so much Keith!”

“This has been the first time I’ve used this travel company. I would like to say it has been a fabulous experience , the staff are both friendly and knowledgeable. The whole trip was well planned, but their was scope to change the itinerary at the last minute to include other travel arrangements and visits. Nothing was to much trouble. I would definitely use this company again and would be more than happy to recommend it to my friends. Thanks for a great holiday.”

“Just returned from a fabulous trip to China walking (or should I say climbing) the Great Wall! Can’t recommend The Bucket List Company enough – Gareth and Rolando were a complete pleasure to be with. None of us wanted to leave. I’d definitely do it again if there weren’t so many other things I want to do! Can’t wait for my next adventure.”

“Kilimanjaro – the highest mountain in Africa! The whole experience from start to finish was first class. Amazing people – organising the flights, hotels and food! Would highly recommend to anyone, and I have now booked Everest Base Camp for October 2019.”
