FAQs

When you're booking the adventure of a lifetime, you'll want to know what's in store for you! That's why we've put all of the most frequently asked questions about our Bucket List trips in one handy place for you to check out. So whether you have trekking questions, want to know about Everest Base Camp altitude preparations or are simply looking for some travel advice, you can find it here!

Your monthly instalments will be collected from the card used to make your original purchase on a 30 day rolling payment plan. You can choose how many months you wish to spread the cost over at the point of purchase. If at any time you need to change the card details your plan is linked to, or wish to make additional payments, then give our office a call – 01769 309007.

We aim to take a maximum 16 people maximum on each trip, however if we have a lot of interest in a certain adventure we may take 2 groups on the same adventure or put on an extra trip at another date in the year.

Most of our trips have between 8-12 on each trip.

We don’t recommend our mountaineering and trekking trips for most families but in response to the growing interest in adventure travel for families of all ages we are launching new Family Trailblazer trips. These trips will be released in 2021 so to get ahead of the crowds register your interest HERE.

Your flights are not included in the ‘Trip Base Costs’. We offer both a land only package and fully inclusive packages, as well as many additional excursions. Once you have selected your trip dates you will be able to add flights, single supplements or any other excursions you wish to include in the ‘Trip Builder’.

The only things that are not covered within the price is:

  • Personal Spending Money
  • Insurance
  • Visa
  • Tips
  • If you have chosen the land only package then flights are also not included

We use specialist Insurance Brokers, Campbell Irvine Direct for all of our insurance policies no matter what trip we are on. We know their policy includes everything we require in an insurance policy for all of our trips. You can easily get a quote from their website so try not to leave sorting your insurance out until last minute!

You don’t have to use Campbell Irvine if you have another in mind, just please be aware to check restrictions. For example many insurance policies that you get with your bank account will not include altitude and are not geared up for exciting trips like we offer!

If you would like to make a complaint, please email [email protected] in the first instance. You will receive a response from us within 48 hours. If your complaint is not answered to your satisfaction please email again and put it for the attention of the Managing Director.

If you don’t wish to join for a full weekend but still want to join us for a guided walk then come along! you can book a place on our guided walks and include accommodation if you want to!

Please note, we will be running more training weekends, in various locations, so if the dates currently shown are not right for you, please don’t hesitate to give us a call and enquire about future training weekends.

One of the first pieces of information we will ask you to provide us when you fill in your booking form is a dietary requirements disclosure. We will do our utmost to ensure that any dietary requirement is catered to during your trip, contacting airlines, agents and accommodation to request they adjust their menus for your needs.

It is important to let us know of your dietary requirements as soon as possible after booking, so that we have adequate time to make these arrangements.

This said, we would encourage Bucketlisters to bear in mind that we cannot fully control the provisions that will be available on flights and during your trek. Occasionally, despite communicating particular needs to our flight agents, on-board teams will forget to ensure certain meals are available. Also be aware that in some countries, less common diets are almost unheard of – such as gluten-free in Morocco. Usually, there will be something you can find, but it may be limited. Therefore, if you have particularly specific dietary needs (such as vegan and gluten-free) we recommend you bring snacks as a back-up.

Any client with a severe allergy must carry their necessary medicine with them at all times.
