Read on to discover the Chilean highlights you’d be mad to miss out, and whet your appetite for your next Bucket List adventure.

El Tatio

El Tatio is a geyser field near San Pedro de Atacama, Chile, it’s the second largest geyser field in the world, and it needs to be seen to be believed.

A tour of El Tatio will take you through its beautiful landscape, including giant rock
formations that look like they belong on Mars but are actually formed from volcanic
gas bubbles bursting through the earth’s crust thousands of years ago.

There are also hot springs here where people go to bathe or swim – not exactly your
regular dip!

Cerro Toco

Climbing Cerro Toco

Cerro Toco is a stunning climb for experienced climbers. The highest peak in Chile, it’s a challenging ascent that takes about 5 days to complete. It’s not for beginners, but if you’re looking for an adventure with incredible views and plenty of challenges, this is the climb for you!

Tour of Santiago

Santiago, Chile’s bustling capital and one of the country’s most popular destinations, is a great place to visit. From its historical landmarks to its shopping districts and restaurants, there are plenty of things to do here. Here are some of the best attractions in Santiago:

  • La Moneda Palace: This historic building houses Chile’s presidential offices today but was originally constructed as part of an 1810 plan to create a new city centre for Santiago. It served as Chile’s first parliament building until 1925 when it was converted into what it is today after being extensively renovated by architect Alejandro Bustamante y Riveros. Visitors can tour inside during business hours on weekdays–and even get married there if they want!
  • Catedral Metropolitana de Nuestra Senora de la Merced: This church was built between 1748-1758 using stones from old Spanish fortresses destroyed during war with Peru earlier that century; its bell tower contains three bells dating back even further than that! Inside there are multiple altars dedicated to different saints depending on what day or month you visit; each one has its own unique iconography based loosely on biblical stories but often with local touches thrown in too!

Atacama Salt Flats

Atacama Salt Flats

The Atacama Salt Flats are the world’s largest salt flats and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, covering an area of about 10,000 square kilometres in northern Chile and extending into Bolivia. The tour takes you to see these incredible landscapes from above, where you can get a bird’s eye view of this amazing vista!

The Rainbow Valley is another highlight on this tour: an oasis in the middle of nowhere with colourful trees and bushes growing around its crystal clear waters, looking like something out of a sci-fi movie!

Atacama Rainbow Valley Tour

The Atacama Rainbow Valley is located in the Andes Mountains, around 40 kilometres from San Pedro de Atacama and about 1,800 metres above sea level.

The area was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000 due to its geological uniqueness: it’s home to thousands of rock formations so beautiful they look like genuine artist creations.
