Do I need a visa to travel to Uganda from the UK?
Everyone travelling to Uganda from the UK DOES need a visa to enter. Afraid you can’t get them upon arrival either, so you’ll need to obtain a visa in advance, if you’re adventuring to Uganda.

If you’re planning on entering Kenya and Rwanda as well as Uganda, you can also apply for an East African Tourist Visa which will be valid for 90 days and allows multiple entry into each country.
How much does a visa for Uganda from the UK cost?
For an ordinary single-entry tourist visa, the application fee is currently $50, while it’s $100 for the East Africa Tourist Visa. You can also extend the validity period of your single entry visa up to 6 months for $100.

Everyone aged 1+ travelling to Uganda from the UK will need to show a certificate of yellow fever vaccination to enter – if you’ve had the vaccine already, however long ago that was, that will still be valid now. Just make sure you have some proof to show.
It’s recommended that most travellers to Uganda get vaccinated against Hepatitis A, Tetanus and Typhoid too, as well as Yellow Fever. How can I find out if there are any COVID-19 requirements for Uganda from the UK?
Since March 2023 the requirement to show proof of vaccination status or to provide a negative PCR test has been lifted. There’s a chance you could be subject to a temperature check and screened for infectious diseases when you arrive, but don’t worry, that doesn’t happen to everyone!
