Over an unforgettable week, you’ll expand your children’s horizons and soak up one of the most vibrant cultures in the world in Morocco. But don’t worry, it’s not all markets and Marrakesh on this trip. Far from it.You’ll merely begin your adventure there, winding through the maze of alleys and grappling with thriving souks in the perfect warm-up act to the Atlantic swells to come.
Next morning, you’ll head to the coastal fishing village of Taghazout, where you’ll be spending the next few days learning to surf and having a hell of a lot of fun on the beach. And with daily two-hour lessons from our qualified surf instructors and afternoons free for relaxing, playing or surfing in the sun (under supervision of course), you really will get the best version of a “beach holiday” you and your kids could possibly imagine.
Halfway through the week, you’ll take a day trip to Essaouira, a traditional port city further up the coast where fishermen can be seen mending their nets and building boats for future fishing ventures. The spice-scented lanes and palm-lined avenues make for the perfect break from the beach but you’ll all find yourselves itching to get back on the board by the end of the day. And that’s exactly what you’ll do when you return to Taghazout!
Honestly? If your kids love adventure as much as you do, and you’re looking for a holiday that gives you a chance to reconnect, share some quality time and have a whole load of fun as a family, you’ve just found it. And with fabulous breakfasts, delicious tagines and refreshing mint teas on the menu throughout the week (plus plenty of tasty and healthy options for fussier eaters too), you’ll feed yourselves with the fuel you need to keep catching the curl.
